Senior Program Manager, Allied Health and Rural & Remote, Health Education & Training Institute

Tod Adams Tod has a clinical background as a Nurse Practitioner and has worked in a broad range of hospitals from large tertiary centres and private hospitals to small remote clinics in Arnhem Land Australia, with roles as a clinician, educator, clinical leader
and manager. She is employed as a Senior Program Manager of Rural Education Innovation and Learning for the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI, NSW Health). Her role covers the management of the Rural Mobile Simulation Program and leads project work within HETI relating to simulation, innovative solutions to
learning, evaluation and educational evidence. Tod’s recent work has focussed on the development and delivery of COVID-19 workforce solutions including Close Contact Call Training (2020 finalist in the NSW Premier’s awards), Working in a
COVID-19 clinic, Care Assistant Training Program and Respiratory Support in Adults with COVID-19. Tod has contributed to the revision of Simulation and Modelling Standards (Standards Australia) and is currently working on the development of a
Simulation Education Framework for NSW Health.

Tod is passionate about patient safety through education and equity and access to high quality education for all of NSW Health staff regardless of their postcode.

Tod is an active member of the Australian Society for Simulation in Health.Tod lives in the Shoalhaven region on the NSW South Coast.
