Director Training Systems, Australian Army

Stuart Cree COL Stuart Cree is the Director Training Systems for the Australian Army where he is responsible for analysing, developing and modernising the Army Training System. In this role he also serves as the Program Director for Army’s Future Ready Training System Program, ensuring Army transforms to meet the challenges of workforce and capability generation into the future. COL Cree is an armoured cavalry officer with experience across tank, cavalry, aviation, engineer and headquarters units. He has operational deployments to East Timor, Afghanistan and Iraq; and, has also served in the United Kingdom and the United States.COL Cree has enjoyed postings as the Commanding Officer/Chief Instructor at the School of Armour; as an instructor at the Australian Command and Staff College; as the lead designer for major exercises in the Directorate of Joint Land Collective Training; and, as the Deputy Director for International Engagement – Army. COL Cree’s current portfolio also includes an appointment as the multi-national lead for training within the American, British, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand (ABCANZ) Armies Program.He holds a Bachelor of Science, a Graduate Diploma in Military Technology and Masters degrees in Strategy and Policy as well as International Relations.
