Interprofessional Learning (IPL) Lead, Faculty of Health and Medicine, University of Sydney

Christie van Diggele is the Interprofessional Learning (IPL) lead at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, The University of Sydney. Christie has a Bachelor of Education, Master of Education (Educational Management and Leadership), and is a PhD candidate with Sydney Medical School specialising in Interprofessional Education. Her role involves coordinating and developing Interprofessional Learning activities for the Faculty, and managing the delivery of large-scale student activities such as the Health Collaboration Challenge for 1700 students and the IPL Introductory Workshop for 2600 students. Christie has received several awards for multidisciplinary team collaboration, and was most recently awarded the 2021 international ASPIRE-to-Excellence team award in Inspirational Approaches to Health Professions Education, for the Peer Teacher Training program, from the Association for Medical Education Europe (AMEE). Christie’s research interests and past projects have been related to health professional education, interprofessional learning, leadership, and peer teaching.
